St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility
Pike provided construction management services, inclusive of detention equipment and security electronics consultation, for the expanded St. Lawrence County correctional facility in Canton, New York. This 155-bed, 93,170 SF facility, incorporated many cost effective design features such as modular precast concrete cells and masonry bearing walls to reduce steel and increase ceiling height, which reduced the need for detention grade ceiling systems.

Capabilities of expansion were designed into the mechanical and service elements of the facility which can support future housing units. The facility lay-out, modern computerized security electronics system, and improved safety equipment allow the new facility to operate safely and effectively with the same number of staff as the old jail but with twice the inmate population.
